The technology
The Brain Bus seeks to harness the latest technology to bring real benefits to people with dementia. The Brain Bus is fitted with adaptive technologies which engage the user both cognitive and physically. The activities have been developed to stimulate the user through their memories and interests.
By helping to deliver social, cognitive and physical engagement, the technology on board the Fold Brain Bus aims to introduce People with dementia to new forms of engagement through technology, ultimately aiming to improve their quality of life.
Activities include:
- Puzzles, quizzes and games
- Music, photos and video from yesteryear
- Cycling, driving and flying simulations
- Social interaction though web cams
We have collaborated with It’s Never 2 Late to Learn (IN2L), which provides a flexible platform allowing the personalisation of the activities, through personal pictures, music and videos.
